@ahmadamaj
i already checked 2 batteries.

@Joorin
I use my phone a lot for different reasons. that's why i have 3 batteries and i swap them basically every morning without any problem so far. I have one in my jacket, one in the charger and one in the phone.
the reason for that is that i'm in an area with poor coverage and the phone is always on the edge of loosing the connection.

have you tried to remove everything(ie. battery, SIM cards, memory card) and let the unit to sit for awhile(say 10 to 15min) and then put every back in to do a power on?

oh and by the way I swapped the original Nokia battery with another Nokia one.
So I have no idea why the N900 shouldn't be overstrained in using it this way.

@cheve
guess it was more like half an hour already. so yes i did. what i haven't done is connecting the phone without an battery for 10 minutes to a computer but I don't see the point what this could be good for.

I guess that in this case you should just contact Nokia and have them take a look at your N900.
