I'm trying to get my N800 to talk to my Stowaway slimline bluetooth keyboard. How do I turn on the keyboard -- just open it?

This is a keyboard that I originally bought to use with a Palm T|X. Should it work with the N800?

I've got the Think Outside Stowaway Sierra universal.

For me, when you slide the side sections of keys in to snap together with the rest of the keys, it turns on.

It sleeps after a bit and you have to hit a key and count to 10 for it to wake up (no, don't hold the key.)

To pair it, you have to use a pen or something to press the white button indention in near the F11 key. Then it becomes discoverable.

When it asks for the password on your Nokia, you'll also need to enter those numbers on the keypad and hit enter.

Don't forget to change the keyboard type on your Nokia to "Generic" from Nokia's.

on the one i have, to pair it you need to just attempt to pair it after it opens.
The sequence is something like:
- open keyboard, and the green light starts flashing.
- Go to the connections manager and attempt to pair The n800
- the connection manager will auto-generate a pin code
- select pair on the n800
- type the numerical code in on the keyboard (use the blue FN key for numbers), and press enter
It should be paired now and the green lights flashing should change.

You originally bought for a Palm... and you don't know how to turn it on? Didn't it come with instructions? Did you ever have a Palm?

... go figure
