Yeah I am also able to do this easily 'Uploaded via NokiaN900' it says, and created a mobile uploads folder for me automatically as well.
To this I have 3 programs installed:
1. Facebook Widget and Photo Uploader
2. Petrovich
3. Pixelpipe Media Uploader to the Social Web
All three do it but what you are after I think is Petrovich. This will integrate with you camera and you photo/video folders as well. So if you change the setting on the camera to never timeout the preview of the photo of video you have just taken, you will then have time to decide what you want to do. I would suggest if you want to upload video to make it no more than about 1 minute as it seems to not like file sizes larger than this, even over Wifi.
When you have got the preview window you will see a symbol between the tag and dustbin, this is the share button and it will allow you to set up your Facebook account to upload whenever, wherever or as often as you like. You can also do this from any photo or video from within the viewer program as well, adding your tags, comments and title of the photo or vid.

I hope this helps.

Uploading photos and videos is possible without Petrovich, it's only needed for other files.
I am having problem with my Facebook Widget for N900. I downloaded it but asking me for account validation after inserting my user name and password it keep validating and after sometime it shows no server found. Also if some one could help me to found what version i have for FB Widget.
When I had an Facebook widget on my desktop, my battery was discharged pretty fast. After I removed that, and few other widgets, now my battery is good for 2 days.
About sharing to Facebook, you don't need any widgets.
If you want to upload a photo, just open a photo in N900, click the Sharing icon, click Share via Service (you have to configure a service once, prior to this) and that's it.
