hi everyone! i got my n800 two weeks ago and i'm really happy with it but ever since i updated the os to the newer version and installed some programs i've been having problems with my alarm clock. the alarm doesn't go off at all when it's supposed to. this morning i had two alarms set and none of them worked. when i test it it works. i feel really strange about this and have no idea how to fix it. i have the new mozilla browser, skype, rhapsody, mplayer, uktube... has this happened to anyone? thanks in advance.

i have encountered the same problem.

The alarm does not work, bring down the system and exhausted all the battery.

My N800 is received yesterday and updated to the newest version.

The alarm file I use is wma file. Which can be played in the media player.

And, I don't know if you have noticed, after the time the alarm is expected to work but not, your media player will stop working unless you reboot the system.

This is definitely a bug of the system.

I bought my N800 a week ago. I have the latest OS firmware installed. I just experimented with the alarm clock and haven't run into any issues like you guys described. I first set it for 10:00 PM and kept the clock application running. It went off at 10:00 PM. I then set it for 10:20 PM and closed the clock app. The alarm still went off correctly at 10:20 PM. Media Player works, too.

My alarm clock most of the time works but not all the time. It will go off most times but this morning it did not. Then when I hit the bell icon then it started to go off.

Only issue i had was when the battery seemed to have completely died, the time got reset and thus my alarm didn't go off when it should have. Other than that it has always worked for me.

I've never had a problem with the alarm clock. Woke me up this morning, in fact.

never had problem. The N800 must be turned on and at the least "lock touch screen and keys". If "Switch off" is selected, alarms will not work. Sounds obvious but thought I would throw it out there.

It has worked fine for me. As some have suggested, battery strength could be an issue -- when you have the problem, look at the battery meter and see if it's low.

Some time issues can occur when the N800 thinks it is in the wrong country -- I think London is the default. You can check and change that informaton in the Control Panel.
