Hi,

I have a wierd problem. My N900 is not charging from the wall charger anymore.
2 days ago when it first happened i managed to charge it from the wall charger by changing the angle of the connector and pushing it much harder, but it is not working anymore.
I tried several wall chargers (and different wall sockets ofcourse) and none of the is working.
The wierd thing is that charging from the USB is working smooth (tried several USB cables without any problem).

Any ideas???

Thanks.

It's hardware problem. Service repaire help you. One month ago on my N900 was changed motherboard by service. This is a warranty case.

Appears to be a common problem:

This is a problem...
I bought the N900 in the USA.
I live in Israel. They are not selling the N900 here...
Any alternatives?

You can try write letter to Israel Nokia Care & ask repaire by warranty. May be they help you. But oficial way - send for repaire to USA.

If you have freiends/relatives in the USA you could ask them to help by sending it back to Nokia USA, or try sending it to Nokia USA directly - they might have to send it back to a friend/relative in the USA

Or, buy another battery and a desktop charger, not the best option I know.

Sorry can't think of anything else.

Getting a desktop charger is a good alternative. They are cheap and the ones I have have worked flawlessly for years.

I am seriously considering moving to another device over this issue alone.. There seems to be more and more reports of this happening lately..

Mine will not charge at all, will not turn on.
Been to repair center twice in the U.S. and both times came back without being repaired. So don't bother trying to have it repaired here. This is only my opinion and experience, so take it for whatever it is worth.
