But the used chip is pl2303 not p2303. The driver seems to know that so it attached it to ttyUSB0. But the gps-receiver still doesn't want to work...
What can I do next?
I have a problem reading ttyUSB0 which is odd. I modyfied my N770 to provide USB-Host capabilities to be able to connect a GPS receiver to the device.
That works. I get the correct messages in dmesg so I know the new SerialToUSB converter is attached to ttyUSB0.
Unter Ubuntu and Windows everything works fine with the gps receiver but not with Maemo 2.1.
cat /dev/ttyUSB0 sais nothing or a thousand lines at once after several minutes of nothingness. But at the moment there is just nothing comming from ttyUSB0.
I read through the www to find information about the problem and I think I'm not the only one having this but I was not able to find any solution....
Does anyone have an idea or noticed something similar?
