I just changed my internet service provider this weekend (woo ha, FIOS...?), and I've been tweaking my infrastructure to fit the new setup. There have been periods where my HTTP server has been down. I apologize for the inconvenience, but it should all be stable soon. :/

it seems to be back up - the URL that maemo-mapper connects to wasn't giving back any information at all.

Too bad we can't get the actual word of what happened.

I just picked up an Ambicom bluetooth GPS to use with Maemo Mapper. Works fine, but I also have the same issue with the "GPX directions server". Is there any resoloution to this issue as of yet. I do have a server with some space. Not sure what's technically involved but I would be willing to help within the limits of my expertise and available space. It sure would be nice to plot a route and play with this new toy. Thanks W

I've been getting the same error lately, "Failed to connect to GPX Directions Server". Is it me or is there another problem with the server? tx

I have an N810 with the latest version OS2008.

1 - My maemomapper don't download repository in "Manage Repository". Before working, but not now.

After 5 minutes the message appears: "An error occured while retrieving the repository. The web service may be temporarily down."

2 - When seeking (searching) an address on "GO TO ADDRESS", a message appears (3 minutes after): "Failed to connect to server GPX Directions"

    Someone help me?

    How do I solve?

    Thanks

    Hi,

first of all thanks gnuite for great program!
    sorry about offtopic.
one question/feature request, is it possible to just tap route by roads?
I use maemo mapper mainly with finnish topograph maps, and I think that your gpx site won't work with finnish topo maps :-)
little hard to explain but example my friend use in his pda oziexplorer ce, and it has feature that you just tap route in map, and drive by it.
It just draw direct line from waypoint to another, and so it helps lot to drive by line, we used it by motorcycling (enduro) in forestroads.
I try to get screenshot from this feature.
    edit:
found screenshot same kind of situation
    http://www.gpspassion.com/upload/xania-ozi2-05.png
first we checked where we might drive then tapped couple waypoints(those little balls) and ozi drove line. after that was very easy to drive in crossroads just look directions from pda.

other notice, readme site won't work

what great program, I founded this feature what I was looking for!
holding down stencil on map and tap point -> add route point
It's ok, maybe little improvement suggestion that it could be tapped one click

    gnuite your the man !
