What do you mean with doesn't work ? I got Gmail configured trough Nokia Messaging and unread E-mails show up in the desktop Widget.
The Wrench/configuring Widget thingie doesn't work tough.

I think I have an idea what's up with this.
My email is set up like in the attached image. The widget will only show new message for my TAMU mail and my Gmail.
For these two, checking my mail is a two step process while for Nokia messaging it is a three step process. I'm guessing this problem arises because Nokia Messaging doesn't handle email like the other two
