I think re-posting 20 minutes later will make the thread pop to the top of the "new posts" lists. there for keeping it a lil more relefveant. I knwo i don't scroll through the hundreds of posts in the general threads. I usually scroll through tthe first few and see whats interesting or what i can help with. id, maybe that's why he reposted so soon. just guessing

fsck is only a filesystem check utility, it doesn't "destroy" anything.
You need to be root to do it.
(The CHKDSK function in windows is the same)
I saw it in active topics before he posted again, I don't scroll through New Posts on tmo.
@ op Is the N900 oc'd?
