As PR1.2 is making its way to the N900s out there, I have submitted 0.0.8 to Extras-Devel. In my region, the PR1.2 is not yet available, so I have not yet tested it. Functionally, this should be exactly the same as the 0.0.8 from the Wiki. The difference is that it should now run under Qt4.6, which I have not tested myself...

It can be installed without a problem and it seems to work as it should, great!
It is still called QSportsEvent in the menu btw.

Can confirm on this, installs and runs without a prob, but UI seems slightly messed up. E.g. tabs are bigger (causes the right tab to be out of screen) and fontcolor is partially white.
And AppIcon background does not look nice in app manager, anyone knows why?

Can't comment much yet. PR1.2 did appear in my app manager today, but it requires NSU installation. When I tried that, it threatened that it would wipe out all the music I have on my device (some 20Gb or so...), so I'll have to take a backup of that or wait for OTA installation to become available...

A few questions:


1. Does the splashscreen appear centered now? In PR1.1.1, it would be tiling a bit of itself on the right.
2. Does fingerscrolling work everywhere?
3. Is there a horizontal scrollbar in the tabs that display a web page?
4. Is the 'hit area' for the default favourite checkbox larger, i.e., easier to select with the fingers rather than with the stylus?
5. Is scrolling in the 'select' tab less sensitive?


Those are some of the things I was hoping to see an improvement on with Qt 4.6/PR1.2...

Yap, not really good (tends to highlight everything), but it works

i upgraded to pr.1.2..but it semms that qsportevent is no longer available in neither of the repositories..is that true or it my n900??

The app is in the process of being renamed to MobiTifo, so you might have to look for that instead. You might stilll find the name QSportsEvent in some places, so the name change is not yet complete.

World Cup Edition:

What is required to make the app World Cup ready?

• Ability to view the knock-out stages of the World Cup. SoccerDB only caters for the 'group stage'. I might implement this in the easiest way possible by hosting an XML file with all the necessary data which can be updated from the app.
• Combine World Cup Groups into one item in select/favourites. Currently, you have to select each group individually. Instead I plan to make group selection in the matches/tables tab just like the curren 'season' selection.
• Database preloaded with the world cup games.
• Provide link to individual teams, e.g., team list, news, ...?
• Road to the world cup - Internal link to qualifying group data (pre-loaded) for each team?
• Add time (in user's local timezone) for worldcup games?
• Link to a forum?

Anything else? Pleae help me to put priorities on the above.

I can also confirm all things mentioned here.

UI is indeed a bit messed up and also the results screen does not fit into view horizontally and has to be scrolled (which is difficult because finger tends to highlight the results instead of scrolling).
