The new Firmware is released today but my n900 dont let me install it over-the-air so i had to do it with the pc suite.
the download starts and i get 6,3 MB of the update and the connection break down. from now on ( since today morning) i tried to dowload it again an reinstalled all aplications and reooted my phone and my pc.
My question is now what am i doing wrong? has anyone else tha same problem? and why doesnt the over the air installation work?
would be happy if you can help me

almost its because the Nokia servers too busy, try later or use flasher to get update if you dont want wait

do you have brainparty installed? or maybe some other games? remove it and try it again!

Applicationmanager tells me too to use nokia PC-suite. What the f... ist this. Especially because there is no PC-suite for MAC!!!
Former updates all came over the air. Why not PR1.2?

So I have no choice than flashing it?

In my case it was because I hadn't enough space left in root.

Try to use apt-get in the console. If it says "not enough space in /var/cache/apt/archives". Try this in the console or via ssh:

Code:
mkdir /media/mmc1/archives
cp /var/cache/apt/archives/* -r /media/mmc1/archives
mount --bind /media/mmc1/archives /var/cache/apt/archives/
apt-get update
apt-get dist-upgrade
umount /var/cache/apt/archives/
rm -rf /media/mmc1/archives
and it should work (so in my case). Needless to say that your space on your mmc has to be sufficient.
