Has someone got the Skype video call to work? I've been trying to get it up and running for some time. The comp tries to send video to N900 but then cancels it and switches to regular non-video call mode? Ideas? Has the GTalk video call worked?

Did the images in the Photos applications rotate in all four directions before?? and it does it pretty smooth too.

Yep. just finished a skype video with my roommate and it works fine. the front cam isnt exactly high quality but its acceptable.
Same with Gtalk. works great.

hahaha, that little issue drove me MAD for a few days last week!! I thought "my faithful N900 had been reduced to iPHONE facebook capability" ... ie: Mobile view shite

But yes, its now back to its full html glory.

Actually, even further, (and I can't seem to find the reference) - I'm pretty sure it was officially said that the N900 will not be getting "official" mms support.. but that Nokia has offered to help fMMS in any way that Frals needs.

Yeah i remember somewhere that they weren't ever officially supporting it for the N900 sadly! lucky i very rarely use mms

does the sms have portrait mode now?

also does the video still lag when saving on mmc? I know mine does but when i change it to youe the internal memory theres no lag and skipping while recording. anyone else notice this?

i havent updated yet. im seeing what all you guys have to say about it first. lol

If you do the CTRL+Shift+R trick then yes... but you still can't type in portrait as there is no portrait keyboard.
