Can't flash with flasher 3.5 because my OS is vista 64.
Can't update with WIFI OTA because it tells me that this device with this version of update you have to connect to PC via usb update through nokia software updater.
Can't update NSU because keep showing "Nokia Service Layer Host Has Stopped Working"

I did everything I could: disable ICS, Run it in XP SP2 compatibility mode, turn vista into test mode, there is no way for my vista 64 bit to update.

anyone can help me? I will appreciate your help

thanks

OTA updates often fail when you have certain programs installed. Happened to me but after I uninstalled GLtron, it worked. Try searching the forums, I think theres a list, but I remember at least openarena and teeworlds, and brainparty being on the list. Sorry about Win7 64-bit, but I hope you can get OTA working. Good luck!

I'm running Vista 64-bit, and while I didn't get the "Nokia Service Layer Host" error, I had a few other non-fatal glitches along the way...

First the OTA update appeared in the App Manager, but insisted upon using the NSU. Downloaded the colossal app and rebooted, but the NSU installation reboot requestor appeared immediately after the desktop was re-loaded.

Then the NSU wouldn't recognize my N900 in PC Suite mode. (Cleaned the computer on the weekend and switched around some of the usb device postitions. I think this may have prompted the usb device driver installations that the system was performing. Not sure if this was hanging things up).

Rebooted again and successfully connected in PC Suite mode. Ran the PC Suite and launched the NSU from the PC Suite. The NSU then found the N900 and was able to start the update.

It wasn't a fast or glamourous update. The download hung two or three times, but instead of bailing out I just waited and it eventually completed. The actual update itself took several minutes afterwards.

The NSU method wiped out all of my installed apps and settings. Not too bothered as I'm backed-up and fine with rebuilding things a little differently. Might look like there's some battery life improvements. Scrolling around feels a bit sluggish unless that's a setting I'm missing. The MicroB 'back' button is great but not in such a great position...

Overall a success on Vista 64-bit though a bit dodgy...
