Is understandable but correctly should read "But I'd prefer it if somebody would correct me."

Unfortunately doesn't make a lot of sense. I'm guessing here but what I think your saying is : "There is nothing worse than somebody learning how you say things, by getting used to the bad sentence construction and thinking, "if he understands me, and I understand him it's OK".... No it is not.

I hope it didn't hurt, I hope rather it helps. Take heart, your English is good.
