Yeah, I seem to have lost the capability of making Google Talk calls. At least, I tried calling Video or Voice on Google Talk, and both failed. I could receive Google Talk Call (voice only), and could not receive video calls. I don't know what the heck is going on.
I have lost the ability to make any sort of Google Talk Call from my N900!
reboot ??? and try again, since mine works with google talk and firefox 3.6.3 using windows xp sp3
OK, I rebooted but still couldn't call my brother (one of the ones without the N900 (I have many brothers)) with a voice call. But I could receive a voice call.
Then I tried it again like an hour or two later with my wife and I could make a voice call. Then I tried video and eventually figured out a fix:
I started a Video Call, and when the screen came up I quickly disengaged the Video option. The call went through and I saw my wife's lovely face on my little phone. Apparently having the video on at the same time I'm placing a call is like the 3 Stooges trying to get through a revolving door at the same time.
I tried Skype video call and it works really good and image quality also pretty good for a VGA front camera. I have attached a picture, how contact list displays for video calling..
