I had this problem, but getting rid of a load of apps seemed to fix it. either an app was conflicting or not enough space maybe.

i needed a clear out anyway!

How can an app be conflicting?

I have 22.7GB free on device, 586MB on micro SD and 1,6 GB free for "installable applications"

Overall it's more than I have in my PC!

How much space does this update need?

I cleared the rootfs space to 67MB and the OTA update worked like a charm.

I thank everyone for the help.

I wonder though, didn't it occur to anyone in Nokia to post it somewhere as a vital prerequisite / requirement?
