Thats patently not true. Sites that functioned perfectly for me with 1.1 just hours before I flashed now no longer work. I find it difficult if not impossible to believe that several sites all cut over to 10.1 within the space of a few hours. So lets get back to what we know as fact.

And its flash 10.0 not even 10.1 and trust me there is tone of useful things done in flash 10.0 at the moment around the web.
Thanks! What happens if you upgrade from the site? Where it says, click here to upgrade?

that doesn't explain why sites running on flash 9 stop working or get slower under 1.2...

The more I think about it, Nokia would have to be VERY stupid to not update the N900 with Flash 10.1. Too high profile of a device and far too many loyal Nokia user bridges to burn not doing it.

    Surely they are not stupid.

I think you underestimate Nokias ability to be stupid. History has shown they don't have the best track record doing the "right" thing. Don't get me wrong they make good hardware etc, but their current business model is apparently being put together by a bunch of monkeys at typewriters.

is it breech of contract to state that this phone is capable of a being alike to a pc user experience? if flash 10.1 is not made available then most internet experinces will be way behind what you can have via your pc.

It is purely criminal for the N900 not to have Flash 10.1, since the Incredible works great with it even without GPU support (yet).

N900 has the best current combination of input options and chipset to work well with 10.1 content (assuming gpu support). Flash games that chugged on the N900 play very smooth on the Incredible, but most do not work very well for obvious reasons.

That said, loads of games are being modified to work with touch only interfaces at m.kongregate.com, through the direction and resourse support of Adobe and Google as well (partners against the Apple empire). Both are pushing for mobile / touch friendly content and are pushing for updates before the final build of Flash 10.1 is released later this year.

I think its important to note that none of this would be a damn issue if Adobe didn't have a goddamn death grip on the Flash format and would allow people to code third party players. Quite frankly I could think of nothing finer than to see flash disappear from the net altogether.
