i think it might be to do with the theme you are using?

you can get around this without having to reboot everytime.

Just open up your media player, and play a track. While this is playing delete the widget, and then add it again.

Should work fine after this.

media player widget working fine for me, with or with out browser open, and i turn off virtual keyboard because my n900 has a slide out keyboard?
so another pointless pr1.2 thread
can someone lock or delete it?

edit: i still think this is a valid reply, it was not meant to offend anyone, if people want to subject me to hate comments over it then thats fine, some of the comments towards me in this thread have been valid, but most were absolutely disgusting, regardless of that im still gonna be first in line to help you when its needed,
why?
because in 6months time, you too will grow tired of seeing the same threads started time and time again, discussing the same subjects over and over again

Off topic but: I think the virtual keyboard is now (to quote Jobs) "a dream to type on"! And it looks much better too, you see your window in the background and clicking in the top area minimizes the keyboard, couldn't be better. And well, keyboard layouts are ALWAYS a matter of taste, imo... me personally i love it. But well, i totally understand that some others don't like it

On topic: Yeah, seems like they haven't touched the widget at all. Personally, i never had a problem with the play button bug, BUT another really annoying bug was that the widget sometimes starts playing music after you end a call, or close the lens cover. I still can reproduce the bug 6907...

Removing and adding the widget fixed this issue for me
