What's a good program that has a windows-like desktop interface for the n810 and can display icons with descriptions ? Personal Launcher is ok, but the icons have no text descriptions.

Yeah, you can't change the thread title AFAIK. Just FYI, though, unless there's a good reason not to do so, it's usually good form to leave the original post as-is and edit it to say something like "Update: I figured it out and got it working by doing such and such". Removing or substantially altering the original content just confuses people, and doesn't help other people searching for an answer to the same problem.

Pyrdesktop might be the solution: it controls a Windows PC via RDP, it shows the PC desktop at a 800x480 resolution on the N810.
