Basically since the update the phone doesn't appear to be able to save the files the camera creates, i can use all the camera functions but when I press the shutter button, the phone takes the photo, processing image is displayed, then the camera app quits and i get a yellow notification bar that says. operation failed and the image is not saved. the flash does flash etc it just seems to get stuck saving. this is also the same if i try to take video, as soon as i press the shutter key the application quits and i get an operation failed.

ive tried un installing any applications that have anything to do with the camera, the shutter warning app and the flash light app, but un installing these hasnt fixed the issue even after several reboots.

any ideas?

on a related note, when i check for updates, maemo 5 Pr 1.2 update is still listed as a new update even tho its installed, my installation was successful and other than the camera app ive had no issues at all with anything and i do have all the PR1.2 update features available on the phone such as night vision video, facebook chat, portrait browser, etc. do you think the issues could be related?

the camera worked flawlessly on PR1.1

ok i kind of found more info on this, i saw a very brief message flash up on the screen randomly, that said something along the lines of the mmc memory is in read only mode untill something something, it was on for such a shot time i couldnt really read it, so i thought i wonder if this is linked to the camera issue. i changed the storage device from the mmc to the phone memory and now i can take pictures again, any idea what could be affecting the mmc? it hasnt been out of the phone since i had it and i dont think it has a read only switch, if it does, its not set as i can write to it when linked via usb

if its the saving part that has the problem, it probably has something to do with hardware access i.e storage? Im not sure though. Is your memory full or something? Firmware issues perhaps?
