    GPS and Maps 500m off

    Hi,
I have to publish and unsolved problem again, as I got no answer.
May be I am more successful here.
My N900 shows me always about 500 off to the east. I have checked the positioning data and it appears that the GPS gives the right signal and the right raw data. I compared lat/long with other gps and its the same. So, it must be a ovi maps problem, may be those maps are not calibrated to N900.
I have PR1.2 standard kernal, ovi maps latest version for N900 and downloaded the maps with map loader. I even deleted all maps and loaded online through 3G the data for the current position in order to make sure that I have the right maps(not the appl, i mean actually the maps).
I understand that we do not get the voice navi, however, a gps 500 m off is useless for me.

Where are you located? My USA map is right on the spot and I am happy with it.

However, the China map is 200 % useless. It is off so much, you can only follow it if you are looking at the whole China in one screen! Agree, useless! And have no idea how to proceed.

so, it seems to work in other countries. I am in China located.
But, why is the gps and maps application on my N97 working fine.
I chekced the maps version, it's the same.
The funny thing is : all gps data from the N900 are the same as on my N97 both phones have the same maps loaded, but the N900 is far far off.

I have the same problem of the GPS being some 100 m off since pr 1.2, and I live in the Netherlands.

Commenting on https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9203 would be a good plan - saying what problems you are having.
Do any of the other map programs in the repositories show you as in the right place?
