How can I check this?

In my scratchbox, I recently ran an `apt-get dist-upgrade` so I guess my software is up-to-date with the repos.

Are you sure that you are running your code under user, not root?

apt-cache policy python2.5-qt4-gui

A note - segfaults are much more common under scratchbox and are often triggered by reasons not really clear to me, on the ’common’ desktop builds and devices they are not happening, just under scratchbox.

Yes (I can't sudo in my scratchbox anyway...)

That's good to know. Yet, if things could work in my development environment as well... I don't feel like uploading the software to my device for each test
