    What packages is it missing?

FBReader seems old (pre-1.1) and may depend on packages not in 1.2.

Documents to go shopuld have been updated with 1.2 and you should have an installer in the menu or something similar, if memory serves.

Anyway, check the details for the installation and see what packages are missing, and post back.

OT: I just logged on to OVi via PC. Do they SELL ME old cartoons to get via the air? Is Nokia so desperate for content that they SELL 1967 cartoon? D these people know Youtube works on the device? I'm not even going to mention torrent clients. Cash for a hand drawing representing a little girl?

I have upgraded to PR1.2 using Nokia Software Updater (latest version 2.5.2).

I have noticed that OVI icon folder appears in my menu and inside it I have a couple of icons and the main OVI store icon, but when I tap on it, it loads up a website http://maemo.nokia.com/ovi-store-promo/ which says

    3. Tap to select maemo 5 from the list

The software will take it from there. After the update toy can visit OVI Store straight away.
The device updates often with new updates to various bits of software I have on the N900 at present, and I have never seen the Maemo 5 icon in there. It is present in the Un-install section and lists the correct version.

... as mentioned I upgraded via NSU. Not sure if that has anything to do with it!

It completed successfully and I definitely have the latest version.

Any ideas why it's not working for me - please let me know. I will most likely flash the device on the weekend if I can't get it to work. It is definitely weird...

This is a strange one indeed. I noticed my PR1.2 version that was done via NSU was version 10.2010.19-1.002 (US Version). I am in the UK.

So I flashed my N900 with the UK Edition and now have 10.2010.19-1.203.1

I have not restored any backups yet so the phone is clean and have no User Agents loaded. On one of the desktops is the OVI bookmark and when I tap on it, it goes to
http://link.ovi.mobi/n900ovistore and in a split second it changes to:
http://maemo.nokia.com/ovi-store-promo/ which is the exact Promo website I saw with my original PR1.2 firmware.

The shortcut in the menu goes to the same place.

On the N900 if I goto http://store.ovi.com I then see the following message:

[green ovi banner at the top of the page]

I have cleared Browsing History, Cache, Cookies, Saved Passwords, and authenticated sessions, and it is showing me the same page.

I typed out https://store.ovi.com and it loaded the same screen above with the Lime Green header.

Not sure what else I can do!

I had Ovi Store access prior to upgrading to PR1.2

I am going to install Mozilla or Opera and see if I can login to the https://store.ovi.com - Something definitely strange with the browser. I clear the cache and re-open browser and see history, so it's not clearing it down.

Hey NoobMonkey - Thanks! - You are a star!

I reflashed for the 2nd time and still the problem existed. I then only installed the "Hide User Agent" application, then went into settings, tapped into it, and discovered it was running a "Customized User Agent"... So I removed it, and my OVI Store is working like a charm.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Of course, I got no software on my device now, and need to restore it all again, but at least I know it's working.

Hi im new to this and ive been having application an app manager problems since i got my N900. For starters the phone is great, except for the App manager and updater, when i try to download an app from the app manager it comes up with nothing and in the space where the App topics are all it says is (no applications available) WTF?, secondly when i try to use the updater, the bar down the bottom which says checking for updates starts to load then randomly stops and stays like that until i cancel it, im getting really frustrated is there anyone here that may be able to help me?
