I recently converted some web pages for offline reading using Plucker. I transferred them to both my PDA and 770, and having the same files to compare showed how pleasing the 770 is to use as a reader (using FBreader). It's actually a pleasure to look at and use.
Secondly, I'd grabbed some maps using winmapper and wanted to update those on the 770 (remove some, add others). Copying to the memory card was taking a long time, but I already had dropbear and a bluetooth PAN script set up. So I installed rsync, and I can now edit map directories on my PC and mirror the changes in minutes without plugging in a USB cable or placing the memory card into a reader. I could even view the changes in maemomapper as they were being copied.
It has taken a little work to set up, but it feels good to be able to have that sort of flexibility.
