By the way I'm on vodafone UK and I've got the same problem as you regarding PR1.2. However one thing you should check out is whether Nokia will still honour their 2 year warranty if you flash the device. Obviously if you don't care about that then that's fine but if you do then it's probably worth giving them a call.

Yes they will, Nokia have no interest in which operatore you use and if like me you bought you phone direct from Nokia it will be the generic UK version anyway. Do not believe any VF BS.

You cannot flash your N900 on any 64bit OS it seems, despite what the guides say. I tried all the various options and only got it working on 32bit.

If you have Win 7 Ultimate or Pro Use XP Mode to do it

I used this way to flash mine last week, worked perfectly

I too was unsuccessful with Win 7 64 bit. i just used a linux box and it worked like a charm. took less than 10 minutes.

Microsoft have removed the need for hardware virtualisation on your CPU, it now pretty much works for everyone.

    Cheers,
    Mark.

Did you install it fully i.e as a dual boot or did you use a virtual box?

    Thanks
