The fixfocus script can be used with any window with keyboard focus problems. Just give it the window name as a parameter.
Very elegant indeed and works perfectly! I think this should go into Extras-Testing asap.

I'll update the wiki accordingly. The name you gave to the new scipt is by the way fixkbdfocus.

Similar issue with the terminals in accessories. Here "view" was also
    inaccessible.
I don't have this problem. However, the full-screen toggle control + up or control + space only does something at all when I'm running OO in debbie mode. Under LXDE I can go fullscreen with Ctrl+Shift+J in OO or F11 in ROXTerm, and all the menus keep working.

Awesome job! Although I do not understand why, this fix also appears to take care of the problem with access to file and edit when in open office writer and other terminals in accessories.

So what's the recommended approach to updating to 0.9.48? Will App Mgr find the update and apply it just to the Maemo-side files, leaving the downloaded image alone?

Yes, This should not directly effect the image.

I have a question in regards to the key definitions again...
First, operation of the function keys, due to improvements in .xbindkeysrc are quite good. But, now some of my previous defintions involving Mod5 do not work. For example to obtain
the left bracket, {, I had used

    "xvkbd -xsendevent -text '{'"
    Mod5 + Left

Now the result of typing of Mod5 + Left just behaves as if I had not pressed the function key.

Any clue how to get this type of definition to work again?

Also, I happen to notice that keysym.h and keysymdef.h
are not located as described in the comments in .xbindkeysrc

Did it really work before? I was experiencing difficulties before with xvkbd - independent of xbindkeys.
    If you type in
    Code:
    xvkbd -xsendevent -text '{'
in the Debian chroot terminal, do you get "{" on the next line?

If that does work, perhaps the problem is simply that you have overwritten your .xbindkeysrc file with the new one and not yet reinserted your personal additions?

    PR 1.2 keyboard fix:

    edit (sudo leafpad) /usr/share/applications/hildon/lxdefocus.desktop

    Exec=osso-xterm 'debbie xephfocus'

And yes you might need to fix the xephfocus script to fix the Info problem. Can you explain how to do that, rebhana?

    Gotta go! Bye!
