i actually just brought it too and it works great on my PR1.2. i didnt get a download link either but i went to the support page and asked about it. he responded rather quickly.

for installing it when using FW 1.2:


apt-get install gnome-python python-all python-xml python-osso
dpkg -i <your_package.deb>
I followed your method but it still doesnt work! I installed "gnome-python python-all python-xml python-osso" like you said and then did dpkg -i primsic..... and I got the same errors again:

I dont want to install those dependencies because I did that last time and there was so many errors and non of them installed properly...

Whats the solution??

Install the dependencies. Although you could force install the application, it would not work.

EDIT: Just bought it, downloaded it, installed the dependencies manually and then installed the app. Works wonders

Thats not possible.. everytime i try to install one of them, they themselves have so many other dependencies.. Hasnt anyone got this working on PR 1.2? And if so how did you do it? Why should mine be any different?

Just bought and installed it. Did it like this:
Sent .deb file to N900 via bluetooth. Install failed. Opened xterm, gained root, then did "apt-get install python-osso python-xml" (There was another package I can't recall the name of, insert it too). Let it install the packages and all dependencies. Then you can open the .deb file in the file manager, and it should install without problems.

the best way is and ican sure u that its the quikkest way too and that is if u install the file with xterminal by typing: dpkg -i /home/user/MyDocs/.documents/prismicwm.deb
it will try but will say at the end that its leaving unfinished because of the dependecies!
what u should type next and u will notice also one thing during the fix what i am going to right next that it will put (i think) most of the python packeges or pyshared or whatever its putting the packeges in an optified directory which will not take the space from ur roots and even the folder where u see the python packeges installed when u want to know in xterminal ur spacememory u type df -h and u will see that it takes less percent of the pythons directorys than u had before u bought this app

Unfortunately that doesnt work for me. I did apt-get install gnome-python python-all python-xml python-osso.... they installed correctly. But then when I open the .deb file in file manager the status is still "Not-Installable"..and in the problems, it lists that python-hildon, python-gtk2, and python-dbus are required.

I tired installing those seperately but they require a ton of dependencies each, so im sure thats not the right way to go. I dont know how you guys are getting it to work.

and again back to what to type in xterminal for the solution is apt-get -f install and the problem is solved.
