So this is an odd message I am getting on my N900 when I go to talk.maemo.org.

"Sorry. The administrator has banned your IP address. To contact the administrator click here."

So, I am on 3G in USA using Tmobile. Seems kind of odd. Reboot and such does not resolve this. Wondering if anyone else is getting this...

Anyone who attempts to connect via that IP will see that message. Rebooting won't help.

Most IP bans on this site are the result of someone connecting via that IP and posting spam. So, odds are good that's the issue here.

When I connect through 3G, I'm assigned different IP every time (at least in my country)...

Try clearing the browser's "Private data"

Same here, I'm also assigned a different IP everytime I log on to 3G.

Do you get the issue when you go via wireless? I am assuming not. One thing you can do and force your device to get a new IP is to somehow admin the MAC addr if its possible.

If you PM me the blocked IP address, I can take a look.

    Thanks.

This is one of the main problems with using the ban ip address feature of forums if this is indeed the case here
