There was a thread here with some information about how to set up the N800 to use an http proxy. Something about the "Advanced" button on the final screen of the connection wizard.

I can't find a connection wizard or an "Advanced" button on my 770 (running the latest official version of the OS) - nor indeed can I find anywhere else in the system where I can enter an http proxy. Has anyone else found a way to specify an http proxy on the 770, using stock applications?

Does Minimo allow an http proxy to be specified in the browser settings?

Hmmm....

I installed Minimo today. It has a field in the preferences for specifying an http proxy. I filled it in, and told it to save the new settings. However, it doesn't seem to use the proxy entered, since I'm never prompted to login to the proxy server. Also, if I reopen the preferences, the http proxy field is blank. So it doesn't seem to want to "stick."

Also, Minimo crashes and closes itself frequently, for no apparent reason.

Then log these bugs over at Maemo's bugzilla so the engineers/programmers can fix them.
