So the version in extras is broken, and the version in testing works?
Kind of backwards, eh? how did Nokia manage to break backward compatibility for so many app's in what should have been a minor update?

Here is how can you get it from the extras-testing in details :

1- Go to app manager
2- select application catalogues and then select new and enter these details:

Catalogue name: maemo.org extras-testing

Web address: http://repository.maemo.org/extras-testing

Distribution: fremantle

Components: free non-free

After that ... click on " update " .. the personal data monitor should appear in the list.

it's working just fine on my n900.

Thanks

I just have to wait for the 10 day quarantine to be over (tomorrow I think) and then this version will go into extras so everyone can enjoy.

Thanks to all testers, and especially the voters in extras-testing

But - if I add the testing repository, does that mean on the next update some of my 'stable' app's will be replaced by newer versions in testing?
I prefer to download the deb manually on my PC, and send it to the phone. (bluetooth obex or scp).

Of course the problem is the the whole extras/testing/devel system has been broken by the 1.2 update. For numerous apps, the testing version works and extras does not.

Is there really no method to revoke a broken package from extras?

glad to hear that the update will be available soon from extras.

since i cant find a thread to the "personal ip address" app (and the author being the same from data plan monitor) i'll just ask here:

is the ip address-app going to get an update anytime? i'd love when it would disconnect an existing connection when you click it.

Great so does this mean my old version of dataplan monitor I just installed via my back up on my new N900 (old one died and this is a replacement Nokia sent) will automatically update once it is in extras? Thanks
