Is there a way to send SMS over my SIP host?
When I do phone calls, I can choose: mobile, Skype, SIP and Jabber. thats great


But I can't choose in SMS and over my SIP host is cheaper than my mobile provider.
Is there an application to send SMS over SIP?

i run voipcheap via sip...i have the same problem. I can't send sms thru conversations as the option is not there.

Short Answer: No, there is not an app for sending SMS over SIP.

The long answer: check with your provider. The solution propsed @ SIP-Implementers circled around using SIP IM to send and receive SMS messages. Since Conversations supports SIP IM, a provider that implements a SIP <-> SMS gateway may be able to provide you SMS through N900 Conversations.

But in all honesty, SIP-Implementors came to the correct conclusion: use email.

Have a look at WebTexter. It supports using the Voipcheap http interface
