Can't install fmms, python, - maemo.org

I couldn't install fmms via application manager, so i tried in console using apt-get. I can see it has problem with installing python. Any suggestions how to install required dependencies (namely 2.5.4-1maemo6)?

I too am having this issue. Currently I cannot try this with my phone, but did you try apt-get for 2.5.4-1maemo6? Not sure if that will work.

:-) Already found the answer.
Somehow python2.5 was updated in extras but not python2.5-minimal.
Until they fix it, one can enable testing repo.

That shouldnt have happened. and a extra's application shouldnt require anyone to enable extras-testing. Thats basically asking for trouble..

Thanks for tracing the problem out, but do you also know whom to contact to correct the issue?

well there is the person who wrote fMMS, frals, or try the maintainer of the python package whoever that is. just ideas not really sure who contact.

BTW, the python-minimal package issue is also preventing other apps in extras from installing.

So far, I've noticed fmradio doesn't install, but I'm guessing there are others :/

will it be ToTALLY safe??,, if i only enable it for downloading apps from extras only, and didnt download from test, so i will enable it to able able to download the packages from the extras only! and wont download any from test just enable to be able to download the apps from extras
ONLY!! no apps to be downloaded from test??!!
