hi, i can't seem to find directions to format the n900 in windows 7 64 bit. can someone help me? thanks

you could try installing windows xp mode because i heard that windows 7 64 bit wasnt supported... But what do you exactly mean by formating?

install virtual pc and windows xp mode . use flasher in xp-mode.
it will worke there.
or
you can use a live cd of ubuntu or xp to flash your phone
