Hello, new to the forum, although I've had a N810 for a few months now.

I just installed Anthy and now have the ability to type in Japanese, but if I want to type a numerical value or symbol, I now must HOLD the FN key while pressing the number/symbol.

Also, the auto guess text bar (activated by press space + shift) no longer will appear as well. Is there a way to turn off the anthy program so I can use the N810 like it was initially?

Is there a recommended Japanese IME for the N810?
Also, has anyone got KanjiPad working on their N810? Any info on this would truly be appreciated.

Thank you all for your help!

For what I've read in the past years, Anthy replaces some Nokia proprietary component and it desactivates the SW keyboard.

As far as I know, Anthy is the only IME for the N810 and nobody got a running KanjiPad.

This kind of stuff is too low-level for my programming knowledge and there does not seem to be enough Japanese users to have something more polished.

I believe this would be useful, but it's for n900 only (I don't have a n900) so I can't test it it can switch easily between Scim and hildon-input:
