    hey maemo.org

I just opened up my phone and connected it, and now its extremely hot. i havent been downloading anything in the last few weeks(not even pr1.2) and havent done anything weird today. just some phone calls.
Does anyone know what the problem could be and is it neccesary to leave it alone now?

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

You didn't use to work in a little known UK series called "The IT Crowd" by any chance?

If it's hotter than normal then you must really take it back to shop for inspection asap; but before you must really produce some figure before taking it back.

You can issue the following commands under Xterminal to display the temperature of the battery:

    Code:
    apt-get install rootsh
    root
    modprobe bq27x00_battery; echo temperature:`cat /sys/class/power_supply/bq27200-0/temp`; modprobe -r bq27x00_battery
(The first line assumed you didn't install rootsh yet. Ignore the first line If you've installed it)

I'm charging my N900 now so I got like something like "temperature:48". I've never seen it exceeding 51.

(I'm sure there are easier ways to find out the temperature. Anyone else could recommend a widget or something for him?)

    Hope this help.

The topic's heading is misleading ... I thought you found a leak to a MeeGo phone
