A4 CPU (although its newer to be fair)

    Screen DPI.

    Hardened glass screen.

Packed into 9.3mm (not 19.55mm) and weighing less (relative size and weight is way better).

Its a technological accomplishment compared to the n900 given how it is constructed. N900 has a tradeoff for weight and size to get its features.

    iPhone 4 vs N900
    -MUCH BETTER design
    -Better hardware (1GHz A4 vs 600MHz Cortex A8)
-Better camera (720p@30fps) + functional frontcam
-Maemo 5 is more advanced than iOS4, but the latter is far more stable
-Far more apps (App Store >>> Ovi & Repo's)
-Better screen (960x640 IPS Multitouch vs 800x480 Resistive)
    -Better battery
-Equal built-in memory, but N900 has microSD port
-N900 has limited Flash support, the iPhone doesn't

iPhone 4 honestly blows N900 out of the water

The only competitors are the HTC Desire & HTC Evo 4G

You don't need it - which is a good thing.

Hardware it's hard to compare to the N900 as it's come out 6-8 months later. Compare the 3GS for a fair test.

iPhone 4 = best because it's newest. It's a decision on how apple have put together the parts. Very well it would seem.

You forgot to mention the N900 can stop bullets.

Itīs always nice to compare but one thing always troubles me a bit. Whatta fck is going on in brain when you start to compare dimensions of hw-keyboard phone to sw-keyboard phone. Meltdown?

And about new iPhone. Looks sexy. I think that iMovie could be quite nice. Right now movie recording on pocket cams and on phones suck. You make clip and thatīs it :|

I said feature not hardware spec. I said that the screen is nice so? You can`t compare phones with ~10 months difference in release ffs grow up. Yes new phones will be more powerful. Its with everyting. No NEW features that are not already out are presented with this nice piece of modern hardware. That is the truth.

Apple is just incredible in this respect. Once a year it raises the bar to an extent that few would have expected let alone dare hope for.

And once a year it throws down the gauntlet to the competition, either rise to the standard and better it or else watch your fortunes diminish.

Apple makes Nokia look like an also ran which once had brilliant inspiration with the N770 and then sidelined the visionary talent. And substituted it with 5 Steps to nowhere.

I am so looking forward to iOS 4 on my jailbroken 3GS.
