why do you want to do that? why can't you use application manager directly?

I don't think it's possible given the current implementation of whatever software you are using on your PC (whatever it is that Nokia provides)

Assuming the reason you want to install from the PC is because you don't have a wireless (wifi or cell) data connection available, you should be able to establish a USB network link and install software on the tablet using the PC's internet connection.

yes,...I do it also that way....

    -connect usb
    pcsuite-mode
    -on n900:
    sudo gainroot
    ifup usb0
check the internet connection for 'dummy network'
    check the DNS in resolv.conf
    -on PC:
set/use USB-IP in same range (ifconfig)
open ports by adding iptables-forwarding for usb-ip's

...now you have an internetconnection and you can ping ex. www.nokia.com

I am porting the GUI by a VNC-server on my N900 and my VNC-client on my ubuntu can login by usb

changing addressbook or installing apps on my PC for my N900 is now possible

    regards
    schasch

    Mr. schasch.
Here comes a hell 'o nooby question...

Do I have to install any app before the mentioned process?
    I mean... I tried the ifup usb0

    and "-sh: ifup: no found"

I would preciate some help, though I mean not to offend you (For I feel the nooby nature of this, for the asnwer might border on obviousness)

    Ty on advance

You have to become root first, look for that on the wiki. Ifup and ifdown are only available to the superuser (root).

Also, check this: http://wiki.maemo.org/N900_USB_networking for the networking. 'sudo gainroot' looks like the commando to get root the first time.
