Well, I don't mind them fixing it, I just wish they'd fixed it right -- on my N810, I fixed it by adding a Mugen extended back, blocking the kickstand from closing fully, and filing a notch in the kickstand to remove the remaining ~1mm of interference.

Anyway, now I'm using the kickstandless Mugen extended back, which at least lays flat without wobbling. Oddly, having no kickstand is much less annoying than having a bad one.

The kickstand is useless to me because of its placement and resulting angle. It's barely any better than sitting horizontal on the desk.

If you turn the phone upside-down, the kickstand placement is then perfect... except of course that it doesn't work that way
