Just wanted to get you guys's opinion on this new device for tmobile. not for myself of course as i have the amazing n90o but fo rmy wife. she has been playingn with my n900 and now she wants a smart phone. er last phone was the fashion phone nokia 7373 La'amour series and now she wants a qwerty keyboard, large screen, a good camera with flash, fast internet and a few bells and whistles. just not neccesarily as many as the n00. Our first runner up was the nokia n97 but its for at&t and we would rather stay with tmobile if we can. Second thought was the moto cliq but that phone is only awesome on paper. the specs are great but every one complains about it at the tmo stores. so i am thinking this mytouch slide will be a good deal for her. please let me know what you think

so i went and bopught this for my wife on july 2nd/ this phone really is a great phone. great os. so far i find no fault with it. i know some of the specs arent as dzzling as the snapdragon and 8 mega pixel camera etc. but trust me this phone does not lag. this puppy has like 512 ram in it and it def makes a diff.

only downside i see so far is its enability to recieve certain files. i dont know if it is a android 2.1 thing or if it is a tmo thing but the phone can not utalize apps like medieval. it can not recieve any kind of bluetooth transfer (but it can send via bluetooth) iot can not recieve mms(u just get a bunch of msg's stating that it can not be downloaded) i talked to tmo the other day and they said they are aware of this issue and that a patch should be coming through shortly to correct these problems. they also said that android 2.2 will be coming to this phone as well. other wise the phones is great. fast. very responsive. internet browsing is just as good as on the n900. no lag anywhere on this thing. plus the android apps are great for things like speech to text and vice versa for when you are driving. it does have the ability to customiz different modes. meaning.. you can set it up just like on the n900 as far as background, phone ring volume, msg alert tones etc. and that would be considered mode one. then you can go to a nother mode and totally change iot. the only downside is that what ever you set as a background for that mode will be the desk top background for all desktops in tat mode. it comes with up to 7 desktops per mode. i thought that was cool. let me know if anyone has any questions. battery life is amazing too!
