    Quick Brown Fox is a Qt based font viewer tool. It allows you to inspect fonts installed on your device and view the fonts in a directory of your choosing (i.e. fonts copied to a dir on your memory card). A simple, finger friendly tool for a simple task, especially useful for designers and font geeks.

    Now available in extras !

    Testers welcome !

    Thanks. Looking at the screenshots, I think the buttons to select the font and the size should be the same height as the bold and italic buttons. And am I right in thinking they shouldn't have the drop-down arrow on them to be more Maemo/Hildon-like?

    What does the slider at the bottom do?

    @pelago

    You're right, but unfortunately it's the Qt4.5 Fremantle styling that is off-base in this case, both for the height and the arrow issue (the arrow is a bit misleading, you don't have to click it, you can tap the whole dropdown element's surface). I will try some manual settings for the next releases to make it look a bit better.

    The slider is for quick font navigation. It 'scrolls' through the fonts without opening the font dialogue. The use-case is for you to load a text, and then just use the slider to whizz through all the fonts and see which one fits your text best. There might be another, vertical slider in the future for quicker font size adjustments.

    In other news, Quick Brown Fox 1.2 is in extras-devel, now with a new, shiny, default, finger-friendly scroll-viewer mode. You can still toggle back the old default, which is now called 'edit mode'. The big scrollbar on the right is not for content scrolling, but quick interactive size changing.
