I've a script that can assign ringtone to group of numbers, and you could assign one number per group if you see fit.

Inform me when you need help running it at startup. I just trigger it when I need it.

Good work 9000 ! did you get any further on this script to enable contact ringtone?.
Off subject but i need to ask you a question... do you know of a N900 case available in China as i need to modify/experiment to add another usb port and a charge socket as i think i have accomplished usb otg but i dont want to wreck my case untill i am certain after testing.

This is just a workaround. If you assign one number per group then it becomes individual contact ringtone.

I wish I had time to make it read the contact list to determine its ringtone group but I need some time to research how. ^^

I see what you mean. You'd like to see if there's a lot of 'remake' of N900 in China, so that you could buy spare cases from them. Well, as far as I could tell people have more stock N900 than the 'remake'. You might not believe me but there's a even larger Maemo communities in China and a lot of them use N900. The others who made 'remake' of N900 are actually making on complete different hardware, and some of them even run Windows XP.

In short you've better chance of finding spare cases of iPhone as its 'remake' builds on exactly the same hardware. XD

Yes i certainly do believe you as i have a very good friend from China but i have lost contact at the moment so not able to gain any information right now.
Would it be possible to make direct email contact with you as i dont want to discuss on this somewhat *****y forum about the mod's i am currently working on on the N900.
I do indeed need a complete case (minus pcb's of course) as i need to do some work on the case itself for the mod's i am currently working on.
