Hi all,

Sometime around the PR1.2 update, I lost sound in mplayer / kmplayer. When I try to play media files, I get the following lines of output (among other, unrelated lines):

[AO OSS] audio_setup: Can't open audio device /dev/dsp: No such file or directory
AO: [alsa] 44100Hz 2ch s16le (2 bytes per sample)
[AO_ALSA] Write error: Broken pipe 0.000   0/  0  ??%  ??%  ??,?% 0 0
[AO_ALSA] Trying to reset soundcard.
Did anything change with the alsa / pulseaudio setup with 1.2 that I need to modify my config for?

Edit: To add a few more details:
  • Audio from builtin media player works fine
  • Playing the same MP3 in mplayer doesn't give sound
  • Manually selecting the pulse output driver from mplayer with -ao pulse doesn't give any errors, but still doesn't give any sound
