Thats not correct. It's the first Meego release. But it's not the real Meego. Its a halfbaked Meego, more Maemo than Meego. It will be still Harmattan. So, the first gen Meego and the last Maemo at once.

Okay, so again the first and last release of a new OS.

The Device after the first Meego (Harmattan) Device will be a real Meego Device.

With 1080p playback one could replace a normal media player/laptop with it, if you have decent codec support.

12MP isn't new, neither is the CPU, nor is 720p. So the onw new thing is Meego, which will be a first gen OS. Again.

Nokia support being the truly earth shattering experience that it is, can we expect that phone to be really polished.

Well it's always about the packaging and OS, not really what's new. 12mpx, qwerty, 4inch OLED, OMAP3640, MeeGo and ~13mm would be special for sure. That said even something like that can be ruined by looks and build quality not to even talk about MeeGo that's still big guestion mark.

HDMI out is something that's a must for my next main phone. I use the N900 tv out feature weekly and would love to have something like what N8 got.

whatever the deal is .... whatever spec it has, no matter how powerful it sounds ..... from what I have experienced from nokias support this will be my last nokia phone until my next upgrade which is 2 years from now ..... (sigh). I've learned my lesson already, I am not tempted whatsoever with nokias next flagship. highest spec device doesn't follow being the best phone gadget in the world ...., it's the user experience man!!

HDMI=DVI=widely supported by projectors.

And yes, people use portable computers with projectors to deliver presentations all the bloody time -- should I not do that just because the computer fits in my pocket, and therefore you call it "phone"?
