No intention to underestimate Maemo developers but these kind of apps are available even on cheap Chinese phone this day...I don't think it will be a very difficult task though when there are comptitions of 50,000$ for app developer.. but funny damn sure..

Cheap chinese phones allow the manufacturer to access entire device, with N900 you have apis and I am not sure if those are enough for such functionality.
