    Conky no longer works on my N900

    Hi all, i have a problem with Conky, it did work fine but i uremoved it a week ago, now iv just installed it again and upon opening it just closes, iv tried to no avail to make it work, any help?

    I use a N900 with latest FW, conky is version 1.6.1-0maemo5-1.1

    Start conky from X-terminal with " conky " and post the output/errormessage.

    After typing sudo gainroot then conky i get...

    ~ $ sudo gainroot

    Uninstall conky if already installed using application manager.
    Install conky deb file with application manager.
    Enable the Conky desktop applet to show Conky. Disable it to close Conky.

    Bug[s]:
    Conky is not startup friendly. It will not show on bootup even if the applet is enabled. Disable and re-enable the applet to view conky again. I tried many variations of an init script, sleep etc to no avail. I give up on that front.
    It flickers. Double buffering stops it but matchbox hates it and goes white. fms is right, be nice if it didn't use an xwindow for drawing...

    You need the .conkyrc in /home/user.

    I search for my .conkyrc but i cant find it :-(

    The conky desktop file is for n810, im lost with it lol, thanx for the help tho, i appreciate it.

    Ok the .conf file was missing, not sure why as it was there when i used it last as i modified it, its working now, thanx very much.
