There are no differences in N900.
400 and some more for Nokia testers were made in Finland. (you won't get one of those...)
The rest is made in Korea.

Thanks for the input; so I guess these shops cannot be having one of those early models.
Yeah, but this is on the back of the display when you slide the keyboard out. When I called the ppl at the stores I specifically told them to give me the country under the battery cover....and they said it says "Made in Finland".
Anyways I'll be heading over to these stores tommorrow - once there, I guess I'll check the IMEI on numberingplans.com

I came to know that almost all mass-produced N900s come from Korea (this thread)
Someone even suggested that N900s with "Made in Finland" are in fact the fake ones
So, how do I distinguish between the two (early release vs fake "Made in Finland")?
And what other country of manufacture, besides Korea, should I look for before buying if I want decent build quality?
