If you are using GPE-Calendar, then you may be out of luck. I don't think vCard import works with GPE-Calendar. At least, it didn't work when I exported a vCard with GPE-Cal and tried to re-import it with GPE-Cal. If it can't even parse its own output, it might not be able to parse anybody else's (including iCal's).

If you have an account with .MAC you could upload your iCal and access on your 770 via web. You can even set iCal to update automatically to .MAC changes in calendars. While this isn't ideal when not around internet connection, it is a quick fix until the software developers tackle this issue.

It will work if you export as individual files and in vCard 2.1 format. Version 3 and multiple cards in one file isn't supported.

I don't have tiger on my iBook anymore, too slow, so can't describe where to find the settings but they should in iCal preferences.
