Has anyone else's N900 become significantly hotter after the PR 1.2 update?

Gets warm when I'm charging and playing a game or watching videos, is that normal?

mine definitely runs warmer since PR 1.2 update almost all the time. sometimes uploading media seems to 'flush' the system and it goes to normal, but my battery life has definitely been affected.

i believe there's still a media bug where the n900 is stuck trying to build thumbnails. to check if that's the problem, just check for a process called "bridge_work-que". if you don't have any other way to do it, you can open up an xterm and run 'top' to look for it.

i haven't dug into a lot, but if/when i run into the issue, i usually just reboot to get over it. it doesn't happen often since i found it, but then again, i don't watch video much either since i found out about it.

Well this is why we hack and mod our phones

look on the bright side, maby you could use this feature to develop a "foot warmer" app or a "Fry an Egg" app

N900, as useful as an inflatable dartboard

Yeah same here, glad i'm not the only one. Usually when i'm on wifi browsing the internet (pre-pr1.2) it doesn't get warm even if i'm on it for quite long. But now (pr1.2) its becomes warm quite quick and thats whats draining the battery very quick.
