I bought two 770's and gave one to my girl. I also bought a slightly used hsdpa cellphone for fast Bluetooth internet download speeds and a gps module from ebay.
She's a bit of a geek so she adores the 770! The other stuff hasn't shown up yet so I can't speak on that atm.
I'm using orb to stream videos from my pc, I have Go, Nethack and ScummVM, etc (games), Pidgin (universal chat), MWeather app, Flashcard util, Stardict (dictionary), an ebook reader and document viewer, an HP-42 calculator emulator, etc etc. I have rss and internet radio(already builtin)...Periodic Table Utility, Map (gps) software. OK I will stop now.
Compusa has both models for sale so you can see firsthand how they look. If there is ever a classic internet tablet I think the 770 will be it. It's slimmer, looking more at ease with its form factor than the Over-engineered form factor of the 800. It is practical and useful, perhaps a bit understated in design but I like it that way.
It does have its limitations but the entry cost is very painless, by the time my girl and I master the 770's it will be just in time for the more expensive 9xx series.
OH. And Java script is sucking for us on the 770's atm. We haven't worked around that yet, but we're still newbs afterall.
