I did it the manual way and my Jspot works now i just dont want to have to turn it off like that all the time but i guess i can just remember the code lol.

Here are step-by-step guidance, but it is on your own risk.
Open x-term and type these commands:

- back-up JoikuSpot_Bouncer.ko to /home/user
Code:
cp /home/opt/maemo/usr/share/applications/joikuspot/JoikuSpot_Bouncer.ko /home/user/
- gain root rights
Code:
sudo gainroot
- remove old file
Code:
rm /home/opt/maemo/usr/share/applications/joikuspot/JoikuSpot_Bouncer.ko
- copy a new from kernel's modules
Code:
cp /lib/modules/current/JoikuSpot_Bouncer.ko /home/opt/maemo/usr/share/applications/joikuspot/
That's it.

EDIT: You have to do this always when either kernel or JoikuSpot is updated to a newer version.

How are ppl finding performance with the titan kernel?

I got the joikuspot module loaded, but found performance was seriously degraded with significant numbers of lost packets.

I posted a few rough observations here -> http://cherrybyte.blogspot.com/2010/06/oops.html

this just f****** solved my f****** problem. i also have a titan's power kernel (MUCH LONGER BATTERY LIFE AND FASTER though). i bought JoikuSpot and got disappointed for wasting CAD9.99 for a non-working app.

But Mohammad saved my a**.. Thanks a lot!

*EDIT: didnt work at first but after a reboot and disconnect, it now works! around 1.75Mbps is good enough for a mobile internet speed for me..

JoikuSpot is working OK with Titan's new kernels (v37, v38 & v39).

Is Joikuspot Bouncer loaded OK? Start JS and check whats dmesg says in xterm.
Code:
dmesg | grep Joiku
If everything is OK, then shutdown JS and try to restart it.
Sometimes JS is not creating connection properly (I don't know what might be the root cause), but restart has cured the problem.
